GRASS-FED BEEF
We are delighted to share about the exceptional quality beef soon to be available at Johnson Farm, sourced from a rich generational heritage in the mountains of North Carolina.
We are proud partners with Headwaters of Poverty Farm, bringing the essence of the mountains to the Piedmont for an exclusive offering.
The Headwaters legacy began in 1900 with John O’Donnell, an immigrant from Donegal, Ireland, who settled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Buncombe County.
In 1971, Alan Lang of Lang Cattle Co. married Jonnie Mae O’Donnell, John’s granddaughter, transforming the O’Donnell lands into a thriving beef cattle operation. Today, under the stewardship of Thomas Shepherd, the 6th generation of the O’Donnell-Lang lineage continues to uphold the highest standards of pasture-raised and grass-fed cattle, ensuring this Angus/Limousine cross cattle are nurtured with utmost care.
- **Pasture-raised** on untouched mountain land with no industrial tillage.
